The biggest problem with the forum is that it is not conducive to good creative writing. The fact that you literally aren’t allowed to offer feedback on stories makes it a lot harder for newer writers to learn what they’re doing right and what/how they can improve
I used to read /r/nosleep and listen to the podcast a lot around 2015 - 2019. Somehow by the end I just don’t like them. I can’t put a finger why.
I wonder if they’re battling AI slop posts a lot nowadays.

I remember they have a sister sub that breaks out of the role playing that can give input. maybe I am misremembering though.
but yes I agree, the rules for nosleep is no breaking the fourth wall.
