I suspect Trump will more likely move more of the R&D under the auspices of the USSF (ie the Space Force). He can’t claim to have “created” NASA, but the space force is his baby.
There is no magic system that will allow us all to live in a world where we don’t have to be ever vigilant against corruption. That will ALWAYS be the price of freedom. FOREVER. But we can make it easier on ourselves. Good laws can’t solve all our problems, but they can keep them manageable.
“We had been operating relatively conservatively, in how many people we were allowing ourselves to hire and capital expenditures,” Romo said. “This will allow us to release a little bit of that conservatism and lean into some stuff like electric propulsion and potentially other vehicles that are going to allow us to grow long-term.”
(Emphasis mine)
He said this but then never really elaborated. This was the only part of the article I wanted to read more about. It sounded like he was talking about something akin to the EmDrive, but my understanding was that the EmDrive had been debunked as a measurement calibration error, so I’m curious WTF he’s talking about.
Yes, 11 was a little too “I’m the Doctor and all I have to do is announce that and the Daleks shit themselves a little”. In fact, I miss the Time Lords. I miss the Doctor having people and rules to answer to. They’re making the universe revolve around the Doctor a little too much. The Doctor should feel more like a fugitive staying just ahead of their pursuers.
Yeah for me the whole point of regeneration is that the Doctor gets a new personality every time, not just a new look and one or two personality quirks. As 10 said, it should be like he dies and another fellow walks away. 12 feels properly different to the others but there’s JUST enough continuity (eg his continued affection for River) to also make him feel like he’s still the Doctor.
Again: in what way was it responding to anything I said? There’s a difference between talking WITH people and talking AT people.
I’m just saying, nothing there was a response to anything I said, aside from me saying I liked it and them saying they didn’t like it. I see no reason for that comment to be a response to my comment specifically. Singling out me, someone expressing positivity for the movie, to tell me “actually IMO it was bad” is what’s hostile. I’m not interested in a non-conversation argument where I say something and somebody else basically says “nuh-uh”. What’s my response supposed to be? “Yuh-huh”? I’m not here to convince people to like something they don’t like, and I don’t see why anyone would want me to do that. If you don’t like the movie you can say so without needing to make me a part of it. Like seriously, what was I supposed to say in response to that? And if I wasn’t supposed to respond, then in what way was it necessary to make that comment a response to my comment?
Are Marvel relying on people going to see it multiple times? Because those days are over.

The money saved will pay for one dev, or two if you cheap out
Also She-Hulk took Thing’s place in the F4 for a while (EDIT: in the comics) and her name is Jennifer Walters.
Yep in my opinion it was the best movie of Phase 4, due in no small part to Namor being completely awesome as well as a fascinating character. Shuri’s encounter with Killmonger on the Ancestral Plane was also very well done. Pretty much every aspect was good, except, as with the first one, some of the visual effects. The Midnite Angels looked cartoonish and the Ironheart suit lacked weight. Not all the visual effects were bad, though, and everything involving the Talokanil looked good. Especially that opening sequence. Gott DAYUM, that opening sequence was excellent.
Landfill #2 moment
Come again?
And oxygen kills everyone who dies of old age.
I don’t have kids so I dunno if it’s still happening, but my dad had a brief and very awkward conversation with me to tell me that if I had sex to make sure to use a condom but if I ever did get a girl pregnant I could always tell him and it’d be OK, we’d figure it out, etc. Nothing fancy or anything; just the essentials to make sure I wasn’t a dumbass about sex.
Honestly, nowadays a part of the “birds and bees” talk should include an explanation of privacy settings and common Internet scams.
Absolutely not; I wish all kids argued their case using well-thought-out presentations
In principle I agree. The problem is that there are countries which don’t care about respecting law and if you kill AI in the West, all that will happen is the West will get left behind.
We could write a book about all the mistakes Marvel made after the Infinity Saga.
