Why is science trying to make gym-bro mice?
Did you sleep through the search engine wars? Not a single search engine was good. There were sites dedicated to sending your search to all of the search engines at once.
Google showed up and it was game over. Their ad sales took off, and then they came out with gmail with 1gb of free storage and everyone went nuts for it since trying to stay under 15mb for your local isp was a pain in the ass.
Google disrupted very hard and continued to do so in many ways for a long time.
The hate for Edge here is excessive.
Librarians are an odd trifecta of determinism, inclusion, and crazy. I don’t envy those on the wrong side of their wrath.
Small iterative improvements vs big “innovation” failures?
You can take my almonds and my beef, but not avocados. That’s the line.
I have both a gas and the cheapest induction range/oven combo I could find and the induction is way better.
People saying gas is better are just wrong.
Gas should be incentivized out of residential new construction, and probably banned from new multi family dwellings
Motorcycle race. Dudes bike caught on fire.
Ms makes it very obvious that O365 is available when you turn on a new machine.
I get it. MS has a “free” rich text editor, it’s Word online. You can easily install any other simple rich text editor (is abiword still a thing?) on Windows. Wordpad probably has minimal usage.
Word pad is a rich text editor.
Amd has been a shitshownof a company since their beginning. Don’t believe they wouldn’t be gouging if they could.
Have you ran the vendors update utility? I see new Lenovos fairly often and their updates address various things that affect fan and cooling.
Have you adjusted the power plan at all? Use a default “balanced” power plan.
Is there an app that seems to have regular cpu usage?
Did you remove the ads-on antivirus software yet? It’s usually garbage. The built-in windows defender isn’t the best, but it’s good enough and usually doesn’t cause issues.
Who’s complaining on Reddit?
Just sealab 2020 it. Use some stock footage and some AI trickery but replace all the scripts with crazy.
Thinkbook t14
Free as in a standalone app or as in its part of something you already own?
The gmail and Microsoft both have apps that are not only cross-platform, web-accessible, and cloud sync’d but they integrate with native apps in your phone.
I don’t understand why it’s 2030 vs the end of time? Pick a date if you don’t like 2030.
Libraries are not companies, they don’t need to make a profit. They are supported by taxes. The computers they have are old because they work perfectly fine.
They probably don’t pay for licensing, and the cost to maintain non-windows OS would be more due to having to hire people with that skill set.
