Awesome, was that his GIMP masterclass? I’m thinking of doing that one.
Er, what?
I love RFF. In fact I’ve enjoyed listening to it more than any other online source of music for a long time.
It’s a community internet radio station that plays music (and some spoken word) from artists on the Fediverse.
I love it, especially their ‘Comfy’ channel.
I think that the commission should remain at exactly the same percentage but that they should be required by law to do an amount of work that represents it. Like take home the 20k on Monday but then spend Tuesday to Sunday working full time in whichever brothel gets assigned to you by the buyer. Or participating in concurrent human medical experiments or somesuch.
Time to pay VAT motherfuckers.
I had to learn to remember this within the dream and to forcibly wake myself up from it to stop this happening. Which I think is quite an accomplishment, if I may say so myself.
I suspect it goes back to wearing nappies/diapers as a baby. Babies naturally try to wait until they are unclothed to relieve themselves; they essentially have to learn how to go in a nappy, or else let it happen because they can’t hold it in any longer. Then they have unlearn this with potty training. It’s crazy really.
It’s all fucking tire kickers anyway.
I had an instance recently where it was faster and easier to literally make an item with my bare hands than to coordinate a purchase of one via marketplace.
It’s a strong tradition in France that when you get pissed off with a company you take its CEO hostage.
It seems to be really effective.
There is some good reading to be had that explains the specific roles that different groups of former Soviet elites were allowed to fill within the corrupt power vacuum that followed the collapse.
Can you recommend any good books? I haven’t studied Russia much but recently read Killer In The Kremlin and would like to read more.
I only used it to do occasional stuff to my photos that simple photo editors cannot do.
I’m aware I’m not properly answering your question here but it sounds like you might be better off ditching Adobe and using something like GIMP or Krita. I went through a period when I was struggling with my cracked version of photoshop and not getting anything done and discovered it was much more efficient and relaxing to spend a couple of hours learning GIMP.
If you’d rather use photoshop that’s fair enough but I thought I’d just share my experience and offer a nudge in a different direction :)
OK, apology accepted. And I do agree that commodified/appropriated speech is annoying to hear by the way.
How about a deal; you make more of an effort to be nice, and I make more of an effort to avoid corporate language?
Woah, shame on me for not getting my thesaurus out for you. I’ll be more careful next time…
There’s no need to be rude and swear at me. Be polite, offer a correction. If you’re against corporations (like I am) then maybe leave their culture of antagonism at the door and help keep the Fediverse pleasant, helpful and cooperative.
This is fantastic news, I’m so glad to hear this is being looked at.
When I’ve thought about this is in the past I’ve concluded that my expectations of Linux are actually higher than Windows or Mac. It’s given me the expectation that if something doesn’t work the way I want it then it will be possible to make it do that, whereas with other operating systems I have been more inclined to just accept a limitation and move on.
What’s happened now?
OK, I’m guessing that term has some extra baggage around here which I’m not privy to… I spent too many years chopping wood and growing corn, so someone will have to fill me in!
What sort of printers do you make your prints with? And do you print directly from GIMP or from something else? I’ve been trying to set up a FOSS printing workflow using Canon giclee printers, which has been mostly successful but I haven’t yet figured out how to print custom sizes on roll paper, only standard sizes on sheet paper.
