Maybe someone can help me out here: I was going to watch this with my wife. She has seen Wandavision, but she skipped some of the newer shows. Is there any sign yet that you should’ve watched any of them before?

I don’t get why exactly the calendar needs to change? Because the seasons don’t line up any more? I suppose over thousands of years the expectation when winter is happening will have moved as well. Or is it because days and years won’t match with other planets? That’s not something a calendar can fix.

But ffmpeg works fine on other platforms without VideoToolbox. So why do I need VT for vt-enc? Wouldn’t it work just fine on other platforms as long as ffmpeg is available?

I think it is pretty obvious that that’s not “what Marvel wants”.

I found the first 30 minutes pretty boring. Fortunately it picked up some speed after they had been pruned. For some reason the fight scenes (maybe apart from their attack on giant ant-man) didn’t catch me…maybe because almost everybody was unkillable anyway…

So when vt-enc only creates ffmpeg commands why is VT a dependency for the whole prpject?

Out of interest: What does VideoToolbox do in that context? I found nothing in the readme that would require anything else than just ffmpeg. Or is it just the compiling of a custom ffmpeg build that is VT specific?

I’m just making fun of the MCU’s recent announcement that Robert Downey Junior is playing Doctor Doom in some upcoming movies and also the inclusion of Doctor Doom among other Marvel characters in Fortnite.

The MCU advertisement tie-ins are really getting out of hand…
