Fair enough, I’m just defensive about the vestigial parts of civil society that are still non-fascist. While I agree that the whole planet has deeply flawed things going on, I think this far right stuff that is currently happening is something new. And I disagree with the whole “both sides” kinda narrative.
I’m unfamiliar with Australia and NZ, but fully agree that historically Canada has engaged in a massive genocide. But in the context of the thread about American interment camps I think it’s a bit disingenuous. While far from perfect, Canada has done a lot in the truth and reconciliation department.
Most of the mistreatment these days stems from resource development projects infringing on unceded territories.
I live in an indigenous community, and have lived in many others throughout my life. I have noticed a massive improvement in my elder millennial life.
While I think some systemic racism still exists towards indigenous folks, I can’t think of anywhere I’ve been with more racial awareness. I certainly noticed much more racist behavior while traveling in Europe recently.
Have you been to Canada?
I’ve definitely seen more than one grizzly in that finger of green in South Central BC…
Wow. Same here. Haven’t logged on since then either. Although I do browse r/printsf in my laptop still… Fediverse is the shit
I agree. It’ll just take a while, artists gonna art with what is available in the world.
Reminds me of “biotech is Godzilla”. Sepultura version of course
Got me excited, thought it was season 2.
I don’t think North face tents are in the price bracket for homeless folks…
Universe today. Fraser Cain. Great in depth interviews with astronomers and other space scientists.
Wow, I’m impressed
What about boobless?
Well I would postulate, as a complete layperson, that the amount of lithium leaching out of rocks into the ocean is more per year than we could realistically extract. So in a way, it could be sustainable.
I mean, it’s about as sustainable as you can get on earth I would imagine, there’s a huge amount of lithium in seawater. It would take an insanely long time to deplete the 180000000000 tons of lithium in sea water.
Thank you. The 700000 litres in particular pissed me off… that’s a 9 meter cube. Whoopdie doo
Gonna need a source for that one.
Haha, I had totally forgotten about that.
Lol, my friend is always on the lookout for “pro-life” thrift stores, apparently they have the best deals. (BC)
