Ah yes, FlyingSquid was just a gleam in their fathers eye back then.
This follows that Ricky Gervais joke rule: if you think of something that you think is funny YOU HAVE to say it.
Well glad this article brought my attention to this app. Now I can download it and remove google maps from my devices
Now I only regret not *EDITING all of my Reddit posts to say complete nonsense when I deleted my account June 2023. Instead I deleted each and every post and requested a copy of my data to cost them money.
Now we need a c/nottheonionbutalsotheonion
Sure, that will help them generate less robotic speech. Can’t wait till the image ai does this so hands look terrorizing terrific

It’s crazy to me that at this point. I feel like purchasing an app for $79.00 for a lifetime license feels emotionally like a FOSS. It’s “free after a one time fee” - that marketing could practically work on me at this point. But since lifetime licenses are disappearing left and right, FOSS is the only future for continued development

Yeah, it’s kind of true. I’ve tried a bunch of Lightroom and Photoshop alternatives. Pixelmator and Photomator for iOS and macOS are my absolute favorites. I wish I could get around Affinity software better, but I can do 95% of what I need in Pixelmator. And I love some of the select tools. Bonus: Davinci Resolve is a big switch for Premiere users— but worth it, and even CapCut’s free features can help with the basics.
