Most vets really don’t want you thanking them. They just want the stuff the law says they’re supposed to have to get back into civilian life, reward long service, or get treatment.

You have no way of knowing what his status at the time was or why he enlisted. It’s entirely possible he was dirt poor, with a bad draft number, so he joined the Navy to make sure he wouldn’t be on the ground in Vietnam. And staying in after would make sense at that point as he doesn’t have anything to go home to.
More like most of us don’t care to read past the headline.
Hot take, common words should not be patentable.
Thank you, I saw Forbes and was immediately suspicious of click bait.
Never forget, cashing something sarcasm is the original Schrodinger’s joke. If it is satire, everyone is happy. If it isn’t then they’re put on notice that other people see this argument at that level. And I’m happy. Either way, I’m happy.
But honestly it’s the second paragraph for me.
Lmao, okay this has to be really bad sarcasm.
Yup racist “jokes” and having normal fun with kids are totally on the same level.
Yeah I don’t think people get how weak the body gets when it’s healing big things.
Dude, I was in a hospital bed for 3 days after a car accident. I could barely shuffle around the nurse’s station when they released me.
Oh yeah, there’s always the possibility that despite the numerous articles on it the government just ignores him.
Without straight up ignoring the law in this case, which State Department is more than capable of doing, it’s really not a different law.
In this specific case? It comes down to a civil servant getting paid 80k a year. If they get his case file for review and they flag it then the government starts doing it’s thing. Of course it will end up in court but a normal court can’t do much about it. Which is how Elon’s bestest buddies set it up. And once it’s on his file that he lied in order to gain citizenship or residency he’s straight up barred.
In other words, if he lied then it will take a literal act of congress to save his citizenship.
I love how the problem isn’t the people being hurt by monopolistic behavior, but other companies.
We really are fucked.
Uhh, nobody famous?
The event wasn’t similar to other events. Other events didn’t have a high chance of pissing off major clients. I feel like we need daily Public Service Announcements, “Your employer does not care about you, they only care about your effect on their profits.”
Over and over again we see this lesson. And while I applaud anyone willing to risk their job to protest their employer’s clients, I’m not going to act surprised when they get fired.
That era started in the 1700’s Adam Smith ranted about a lack of accountability in corporations.
Otoh, Roblox is evil and you could just use the switch to Linux to be like, “oh no, I guess we can’t have Roblox anymore!”

Glad there’s no IOS client
That doesn’t sound like letting other people do what they want.
I’ll be that guy. Up to ME it was pretty good and it just worked. Then it took up the every other version being good thing that we’re used to up to 10. It’s only really now that they’re trying to kill 10 and push us onto 11 that it’s really become a problem.
