I think there is about the same proportion of good music to bad as there ever was, you just don’t hear the bad music of the past because it didn’t last. Survival bias, I think it’s called.

Holy crap, I looked at Art Masters Jewelry and eew. They are all clunky overdone nigh unwearable, some of the black ones might be good for a dramatic goth look - they look like costume jewelry but are priced like real jewelry though . So ugly.

White kids are often blonde even if they won’t be as adults. All mine were at least for awhile, all have medium or dark brown hair now. All born with blue eyes too, but half changed to brown later. Not sure why, but it’s normal.

I have a large family, always wanted kids, but seriously do not understand people who need everyone else to do the same thing they do. Like, what the actual fuck? If someone doesn’t want kids how is that my business? It’s like they don’t have confidence in themselves and need the whole world to agree with them. Just live your life, it doesn’t matter what everyone else is doing.

That picture doesn’t make sense though, unless she had 3 sets of twins some of those kids would be older, and as the billboards here used to say “two years apart is baby smart”, it is easier on your body if you give yourself time to recover. Three sets of twins back to back, your womb would prolapse.

Exactly the trajectory Florida is on. I grew up here, we had low wages, cheap housing, very cheap groceries, ugly sprawl, beautiful beaches, so many queer people, circus folk, immigrants from everywhere and environmentalists. Rednecks in the country but cities so blue. So far south we were not the South.

It shifted right some over the years but COVID-19 brought all these racist northerners to our cities, with a lot of money, now we have cost of living average for anywhere but wages still lower than all those anywhere places. Cities still diverse but state politics ridiculous and very Southern.

I have a compost but the disposal is a fantastic addition to my life. Some rice in the sink? No problem. Broth, compost, disposal. Sometimes trash. Obviously divert as much as you can, but the garbage disposal in the sink is wonderful.

I trained (for lack of a better word) my husband to wash the cast iron without wrecking the finish. He used to leave it soaking, I didn’t freak out but told him that was bad for them and he could just toss them into the oven dirty if needed and I’d deal with them (like you, I am the cook not the clean) but then he’d want to make eggs or something and the pan would be dirty so he asked how to. I got a chainmail scrubber and he loves doing it now because he loves the chainmail scrubber. Like - I will sometimes use soap on mine because I can judge the finish but he will not put soap now, will only scrape and has begun to love the pans too, after so many years he realizes because they never wear out just get better.

I did have to reset a couple of mine once, burn off the seasoning and sand them and restore and yes they looked like this picture. It was terrifying but they got great again. Such durable goods they are!

Well eventually you will get old enough that the women in your age group will be through menopause, maybe then you can get back in there.

I had kids when I got together with my now-husband and he did too, and I had a history of literally falling pregnant each of the times I didn’t use birth control, so he was vasectomized AND I had IUD put in, together this was as good as science can do now and it worked perfectly. Vasectomy can regrow but IUD is very reliable.

I guess if sex isn’t important to you then enjoy, or if you can enjoy sex with men that would also be 100% no chance of pregnancy. But for me, it’s such a wonderful part of life, letting fear rule it seems bad.

Constantokra? Could you have a word with my okra plants? They have not flowered yet, are flourishing in the heat but no okra. I planted fewer because in years past we couldn’t keep up with them, but this year they hesitate? We want constant okra.

The bacon though - we went to La Teresita here for breakfast, my kids ordered bacon and they brought them a whole bowl full of bacon to share.

We went back to the office, I don’t care because my commute is immaterial BUT now I leave my laptop there, I disassembled the workstation at home and packed it away, I will not work at home now. Teams is on my phone because I don’t put the work email on my phone and needed a way to tell my team if I will be unexpectedly delayed. I don’t open it ever though, and now we have a group text might take it off too.

ETA: I did also delete MS Teams, we have each other’s phone numbers now.

I got a new laptop at work and everything, every file I worked in, was creating a second copy of itself on OneDrive. It was so annoying and took awhile but I found instructions on deleting the duplicates.

It took all the files off my local machine and left the ones on OneDrive.
