I think the idea is that people check the weather So they will actually see it. Like, I never read the sports section, but if there was a tidbit on the weather page I might click it.

I will tap my keyboard to wake up the computer/monitor, be able to type in the password, and by the time my monitor wakes up I’m ready to go. I mean, I’ve been ready to go for the past 4 seconds, but take your time and wake up, monitor.

I meant to convey that the machine isn’t going to fail after one acre or any other small amount. It won’t be built out of legos ;)

And shouldn’t the end-game be to eliminate the need for human labor for these grueling jobs? Even if the first iteration isn’t quite as good, it is important to look to the future.

This is absolutely scalable. It doesn’t need to be bigger. It’ll just go row by row like every other farm tool :)

You’re right. I don’t mean discredit all space-related activities. Satellites help make our world function, and rockets are needed for that.

I meant to emphasize the desire to go to Mars. I see no net-benefit for the world. It’s a vanity project.

I see this problem everywhere. “We should fix X” “But what about?”

Can people please just talk about the topic instead of finding arguments against it? Too many people just want to argue and be ‘right’.

I would do so much to improve the world if I had even one billion dollars. Rocket ships don’t help the homeless. Mars won’t solve the lack of money in education. A car flying through the void of space does not create public transportation. A mega yacht doesn’t feed the hungry.

Please let me handle your money, billionaires. You’ll look so good at the end of it.

Isn’t anyone who has hordes of wealth lucky? How can that not be luck? No one earns that much. It’s luck that he happened to be born to that life.

That’s great! Use what works since the final design might need the expensive stuff (and who knows how many tries are needed to get it right!). Nice.
