You don’t have to spoof everything. If you setup a wireguard server on your router then, then VPN into that then you’ll be on the actual network and Netflix cannot tell the difference.

Netflix has come out and said they don’t use GPS. I cannot authoritatively say they don’t traceroute or use other signals, but the wireguard tunnel works so you can only assume they do not.

I strongly disagree with this comment. I’ll answer your numbered points from the original post one by one with my perspective:

1. Development would happen completely in the open, since its community driven
2. A community android fork wouldn’t directly solve the issue of manufacturer locked bootloaders, but neither would Linux mobile
3. I originally messed up on this bullet point, but this is the correction - the play integrity API would be unusable on both community driven Android and Linux mobile
4. Developer verification will not apply to devices running an OS that isn’t Google certified, which a community maintained android fork would not be

Android is already fully featured and has a solid ecosystem so it’s usable now, not in 5-10 years with less of a need for adjustment for the people who want to switch.

A decent camera only vision system should still be able to detect the wall. I was actually shocked at the fact that Tesla failed this test so egregiously.

If you use two side by side cameras you can determine distance to a feature by calculating the offset in position of the feature between the two camera images. I had always assumed this was how Tesla planned to achieve camera only FSD, but that would make too much sense.

Even if they wanted to avoid any redundant hardware and only go with one camera for each direction, there is still a chance they could’ve avoided this kind of issue if they used structure through motion, but that’s much harder to do if the objects could be moving.

Good point. I guess that depends on a quality over quantity promise, which I guess would also fit op’s idea.

That would make business side incentives more aligned with the user side, but I could never see anything with a high barrier of entry accumulating enough users to actually be usable.

Maybe its free at first and as it grows in size and activity the cost goes up? That feels kinda sketchy
