Hmm. You are correct. On both my Windows and Linux machines, I am on Audacity 2.4.2. I’ve been using it for years, now. I never changed my sources, and it never stopped working. Haha!

They did not. I use Audacity regularly on more than one platform. It collects no data from me. It also hasn’t received an update in years, but still does exactly what it needs to do, and does it well.

That said, I hadn’t heard of Tenacity until this thread, and it looks like I shall be migrating over to that anyway. Better safe than sorry.

I understand. I throw obscene amounts of money at the cash black hole that is rent. I understand entirely how people think that people who make money simply by sitting on assets they own and otherwise provide nothing to society should be, ahem, obliterated. I just think it’s still possible to obliterate them with regulations instead of actual murder.

Agreed! A good, campy action movie is great. The problem with Mission Impossible is that it otherwise took itself entirely seriously.

The first time I remember absolutely losing my suspension of disbelief was at the end of the first Mission Impossible reboot where Tom Cruise puts an explosive on a helicopter he’s hanging on the outside of that’s flying behind a train through a tunnel, and the explosion completely destroys the helicopter and flings him onto the back of the train. Yeah, that helicopter (which probably couldn’t be flying through a train tunnel to begin with) was made of far tougher material than Tom Cruise. Any explosion that destroyed it, would have turned him into a stain on the wall of the tunnel.

I get the violent rhetoric, I really do. But, at the same time, I can’t help but feel like more people would be more amenable to social reform that benefits the little guy to the mere detriment of the rich, rather than murdering them horribly. I could be wrong, but doesn’t history teach us that violent revolution more often just begets more violence than actually solves problems?

At 198cm (6’6") and 111kg (245lbs) BMI states that I’m on the high end of “overweight”. My waist is 96cm (38"), which makes my RFM “average”. I like that better.

Not that he couldn’t have put together a droid, but that he put this very specific, very integral-to-later-events one together himself. It’s ludicrously coincidental.

This was the moment I checked out of the prequels. Vader, as a child, built C-3PO? I’m supposed to continue suspending my disbelief, now? Impossible.

Works great for me. Definitely not as many seeders as they were during it’s heyday, but still a decent number. I’ve downloaded a couple semi-obscure films in the past couple of months and they downloaded just fine in an hour-or-two even with only one seed.

Caffeine gives me brain-destroying headaches if I just drink a single cup a day for a month or two. Inevitably. I’ve tried to be a coffee drinker a half-dozen times in the past few years because I love the pep I get from caffeine, and every single time, eventually I end up slowly pacing in a dark, quiet room - because even sitting down makes the pain unbearable - wishing the world would end so my head would stop throbbing.

I guess I just wasn’t drinking enough?

I’d like to thank this thread for reminding me to check out some new music. Just today, I have discovered MJ Lenderman and Still House Plants who both seem to be doing some cool stuff that’s right up my alley. There’s a new Mogwai track released a few days back and Sumac just released an amazing sludge metal album, even though I’m not really into sludge, it might convert me. A quick few image searches shows me that none of them are particularly attractive. Music has always been, and always will be awesome regardless of the physical appeal of the lead singers.

That’s encouraging. Wind Waker might be my favorite.

Hmm. That doesn’t sound particularly enjoyable. I haven’t played a Zelda game since Skyward Sword, and that one really rubbed me the wrong way. Formulaic and dull. I suppose that’s why the next entry made such drastic changes. I might just emulate BotW someday to see what all the fuss is about.
