USB stick should work just fine. If you scroll down on the instructions a bit it says insert your usb drive 8gigs or larger to flash Ubuntu onto.
I have a similar issue with my cheap tws earbuds. What i ended up doing was cleaning up the metal contacts on both the earbuds and the case. And whenever i place my earbuds in my case i give it a little wiggle just to make sure the metal contacts are actually touching. I have no clue if this will help or whether pixel buds even have such metal contacts but you can try.
Its a word play on “stationary” i.e. not moving and stationery i.e. writing materials.
Its been a while since i tinkered around but i think firstly you can try directly booting into twrp recovery and see if that’s working.
For some phones overwriting the recovery straight away doesn’t work they will just let you temporarily run custom recoveries.
If that’s the case then you can figure out for your specific phone how to overwrite the stock recovery permanently.
Again i could be completely wrong but you can give this flow a try.

I get the same running rdr2 through steam OS and whenever i wake up from sleep and toggle my bluetooth, the game no longer recognises the controller.
