What can they do? How about making the cellular models modular? 3G goes bust? Swap the modem for a 4G one next time the car is in for service.

It depends on where in Sweden you live of course, but I always loved the moment the first snow was on the ground. It immediately makes the entire surroundings feel less glum, even during the short days of winter.
Agree on the impact of climate change though. The seasons used to be reliable like clockwork, and that hasn’t really been the case for the last decade and a half or so.
Once the humidity gets high enough this doesn’t really work anymore, at least, in my personal experience. Wet clothes stay wet, but you’re still sweating.
To each their own of course, but I’m perfectly fine dressing for the cold. Sure, once temperatures get below -35C it’s not the most comfortable to be outside and you’ll want to get good at layering, but I still much prefer it over the inverse (temperatures of 35C and over).
I live in Canada today, and used to live in Sweden. I’m perfectly fine with winter and heating the house, dressing for it, etc. I’ll compromise my stance by saying early spring is nice, but man do I hate summer heat and humidity. And don’t get me started on mosquitoes and other summer bugs.
Too bad about the cost of living there, but it sounds like absolute paradise outside of that.
I’d live in perpetual winter if I could. You can dress for the cold, but at some point the heat and humidity make it impossible to be comfortable outside regardless of your outfit.
That’s exciting - I’ll be keeping a close eye on this as it’s likely what will make me switch to Linux for gaming in the near future.
Thanks! Sounds like decent progress hady been made in this area already. I’ll keep an eye on this project so that when 24H2 drops I’ve got a way to avoid turning my headset into e-waste.
That sounds pretty promising. I know the headset camera-based controller tracking will be a pain to implement, but at least there’s some hope for people that plonked down 600+ bucks for these devices. Some, like me, just a month ahead of the eol announcement…
Wasn’t the original quote by Nigel Powers about the Dutch?
I am still thankful our parents woke us up and put us in front of the TV to watch the live broadcast of that happening. That was a watershed moment in post-war politics.
Still one of my favorite tracks to break in a new subwoofer with.
You’d be surprised how many people don’t know the difference between being sore and having pain, but I digress. I never wanted to discuss semantics, just make a jokey comment about trading pain for discomfort. Forget I mentioned it.
I think there’s a non-zero percentage of people that confuse being sore with having unexplained pain. And there’s probably also another group of people that think they can excercise without being sore, given how lots of people exercise tout it as fixing all pain, which might set incorrect expectations.
Anyway, I am just sharing my own experiences.
To be fair though, the soreness from regular exercise is what you get in the tradeoff. I have both a regular cardio and strength program I run through every week (5 days of exercise) and a pretty active lifestyle (2 days of outdoor activities every week (hiking, mountainbiking, splitboarding, etc)) and I am generally sore at least somewhere in my body.
Yeah, that’s what made me get premium. Even before the adblocker crackdown, the prospect of supporting creators and being able to ditch Spotify’s horrible artist compensation model made it a simple choice.
Apple flexing their anti-competitive muscles again.
From locking down the OS to proprietary charging and a staunch opposition to right to repair, their track record has been nothing but anti-consumer for the last decade and a half.
And the worst part is that they’ve gotten away with it for so long and so often that they managed to inspire Android device manufacturers (ahem…Samsung) to follow in their footsteps. Someone really ought to step in and break up the company, Microsoft anti-trust style.
Morrowind memes in the wild. What a time to be alive!
Thanks for sharing these gems. I can almost feel the exasperation in some of the emails and their replies.
