So hyped about this. It’s the main reason I kept on using Firefox and refused to go back to Chrome or any other browser. The experience is too good, to the point I deleted the YT app and just use YT on FF.

Gmail, personally. Can’t beat it.

Otherwise, I’d like to switch to Proto for the security.

I think it’s a bit too early to monetize, but I haven’t used it yet.

Maybe make better products, return to high QA, and deal with customers as customers and not enemies?

I’ve been using Samsung for so long that I didn’t realize the rest of the ecosystem doesn’t have this.

Its so frustrating, because I end up backing up to both systems because each offer something different.

They’re the best Android phone, but not the best experience.

When it works, it works really well. I’ve had many of their Galaxy line up. I’ve even switched briefly to iPhone and came back to a Galaxy S23 Ultra, and it’s so so good.

On the other hand, their budget phones aren’t bad. I use one of their really old A lineup phones as a digital dash of OBD2 data for my car. That battery is just amazing, it stays charged for days, takes in the heat, and still operates no problem.

The only issue I have is support. They want to demand similar pricing to Apple, but if something break it’s pretty much go fuck yourself attitude.

It would make sense that they’d say this. iOS blocked Meta from being able to advertise, and there is a lot more customization on Android.

While I understand the comparison between a 4070 and a 3080, I think that entirely ignores the cutting edge tech users.

Some people want the highest frames. Personally, I want 4K at 240hz. I play FPS, and I want nice quality too. That has yet to exist as a product, so we still have ways to go.

I don’t like DLSS, and frame generation. I did try it, and they had issues in Cyberpunk. The quality just wasn’t there.

The other thing is AI. There are companies built on Stable Diffusion. You purchase a time/result and in return you can generate images or text queries. Those are backed by GPUs at the end. I’ve tried Stable Diffusion locally on a 4090 and even then, it’s not fast.

As for Intel and AMD, I unfortunately have no hope. I hold a large amount of stocks in AMD and I really hope they get it right, but their software group isn’t at the cutting edge and are far behind. Their VR issues have been on going and mentioned during every update. When you mention that, the users get upset stating it’s good enough; it’s not. As for Intel, they have yet to get their head out of their ass. With Pat at the helm, I have no hope anytime soon. He’s still wearing the marketing hat, thinking they’re ahead.
