Well the VLC one was free, and I’m guessing theirs won’t be.

Other folks in this thread are speculating that they want to put their own video player in the store.

I get asked to prove I’m making a legit login attempt all the time because it’s from a new IP address. 23andMe could have implemented something similar, and given the sensitive nature of the data they host and given how we all know that people can’t be trusted to have good password hygiene, I think they should have been required to do so.
IMO this whole thing is just more proof that we need better regulation around how companies treat users’ private information.
Oh I see. Thanks!
How are people feeling about The Mouse having his paws on the show?
It’s been a while since I followed Dr. Who news so I’m pro out of the loop. Why is this labeled “season 1?” Is this not just another regeneration? Is it a reboot or something?
I’m not sure it’s ever good news when Epic wins.
I’m in this exact same boat. I also remember them saying they’d never raise the price on us. I imagine their defense will be something about how GPM doesn’t exist anymore and YouTube premium wasn’t part of that offer or something. It’s still bullshit but I can’t imagine we’ll win.
RIP Rover :(
Now the entire gauge cluster is a screen, it’s sad.
This is a really interesting take to me because I’m excited for all the physical displays to be replaced by screens. Because once they’re screens, the new CarPlay can take them over and give an actually good user experience compared the incredible dog shit quality in-car experience that the manufacturers provide.
It sounds like they want to be acquired, and if their tech is as good as this article makes it seem, maybe Apple should. :)
Don’t let them tell you it’s the lack of density that is the problem. I live in a major US city with high density, and there is only one provider that offers actual broadband at my address (~$100/mo for 500Mb/s service). The “competition” wants me to pay $50/mo for 20 Megabit DSL.
Is there an OLED tv on the market now that doesn’t just exist to sell ads?
