I’ve never played the board game because a) it’s pretty pricey and b) I don’t have a consistent group to play it with. I also do love digital adaptations of epic board games because it makes managing turns, cards, health etc way easier. That being said, this port of Gloomhaven is clearly very taxing on the aged hardware of the switch. I’m sure the PC version of the digital adaption runs better/faster/prettier etc. I’ve been playing by myself and despite all my complaints about the switch version, still thoroughly enjoying it.

I’ve been obsessed with gloomhaven since it was released on the switch. Sure it has a lot of UI issues and absolutely devours my switch’s battery life but it really scratches a heavy strategy itch in my brain. It is a very difficult game but with every failed “run” you keep all the gold and experience you gained so even failing a scenario helps progress you towards leveling up and being able to buy new items to help you in future endeavors. Every win I have eked out has felt really hard won and rewarding because of that.

Here is a screen recording of what I mean
I guess what I am calling a “left swipe” is a swipe from the left to the right. Such as takes you one step back from a post to the Frontpage. I am requesting that a left to right swipe from the Frontpage open up the hamburger menu on the left side.
The Frontpage. Mine is my subscribed feed but if you haven’t set this as the default view then I guess it displays the local feed for the instance you are registered on.
By homepage I mean Frontpage (the screen with all the posts that loads when you open the app). Swiping from left to right from a post itself takes you back to the Frontpage but swiping from left to right from the Frontpage does nothing (this is what I want to open the hamburger menu). I have swipe navigation enabled and use it to navigate throughout the rest of the app. There is currently no way to open the hamburger menu via a swipe action from the Frontpage (you have to tap the 3 lines at the top of the screen which is not easy to do with 1 hand)
Swipe navigation works everywhere except from the homescreen. I’m requesting that it work there also.
That’s odd. I can view that post in context through the app.
This seems to have been fixed now. I can click on comments in your profile that are responses to downvoted comments and view them in context on posts.
This issue has been fixed. Check in the settings for “volume buttons for comment navigation”. If you turn that setting off that should fix your problem.
EDIT: I guess I hadn’t looked for more webcomic communities in a while and there are more available now which have people actually posting OC to instead of just reposting from elsewhere with no discussion. I’ll leave my original comment below regardless.
I’m of mixed opinion about this. I only subscribe to one bot-led community ([email protected]) and whilst I hate that every comic is just reposted from Reddit by the bot and so has no comments or discussion, it seems that no comic creators are posting to Lemmy yet and so I would rather still be able to see the content they are creating than miss it entirely. I understand that both the community and the bot are hosted on lemmit.online so they won’t be affected by the bot policy of lemm.ee but it still speaks to the problem of lack of content posted to Lemmy in general (at least in certain communities).
As long as you are on version 1.0.96 or higher, you should have an option in the settings to turn off volume key comment navigation that should fix your issue.
This is included in the latest beta (1.0.98). However, it seems that opening links is broken in this version (can view comments of posts but actually opening the post itself just brings up webview which doesn’t load) so maybe wait until a bugfix is released.

Personally I like having multiple leaders of a civ available, each with their own unique bonuses and therefore playstyle. So you get to choose a civilization you will play as (which influences starting location etc) and then the leader themselves which will further affect gameplay.
Boo. No Kraftwerk 1 or 2.
