Uhh, driver support and networking have vastly improved since Windows XP.
If you had ever done a clean reinstall of XP, you’d know what a pain it was to make sure you had your NIC drivers on a floppy or USB drive before you started.
It sure seems like they aren’t being very forthcoming with their data between this and being threatened with fines last year for not providing the data. That makes me suspect they still aren’t telling the truth.
I think their silence is very telling, just like their alleged crash test data on Cybertrucks. If your vehicles are that safe, why wouldn’t you be shoving that into every single selling point you have? Why wouldn’t that fact be plastered across every Gigafactory and blaring from every Tesla that drives past on the road? If Tesla’s FSD is that good, and Cybertrucks are that safe, why are they hiding those facts?
An FSD car that makes perfect decisions would theoretically be safer than a human driver who also makes perfect decisions, if for no other reason than the car could do it faster.
Personally, I would love to see autonomous cars see widespread use. They don’t have to be perfect, just safer mile-for-mile than human drivers. (Which means that Teslas, with Musk’s gobsmackingly stupid insistence on only using cameras, will never reach that threshold).
Well, yeah. How do you think they could afford Nadella’s pay raise?
Hmm, sounds like Boeing needs to fire more engineers.
And increase C-level compensation, of course.
Uhh, the very existence of this article indicates you’re wrong. Elon removed the block feature and even more users left; how can you say that “the people who were going to leave because of Elon have already left”? Certainly the group who disliked Elon on ideological grounds did, but there are plenty of other users who are leaving because they’re finally deciding the changes Elon is making removes any value they see in remaining on Twitter.
A daily active user count of under 80,000 is utterly meaningless for a social media site.
The right-wing chuds aren’t flocking to Truth Social because they can’t “own the libs” there. That’s what I mean when I say they don’t want an echo chamber.
You mean Trump’s Twitter clone? Depends on how you define “worth.” The total stock valuation is worth that much, but that’s because stocks are largely bullshit priced based on how buyers feel. Someone keeps buying the stock, so the price reflects that.
If you’re talking about the company itself, it’s not worth dick. They have a six or seven digit revenue compared to eight or nine digit losses- there is absolutely no way the stock price represents the “true” value of the company. Given that Trump owns 60% of the shares it’s absolutely certain that someone is using it as a way to funnel money to Trump outside of campaign finance laws.
Also, they don’t have that many users.
Just wait until enough sane people have left Twitter; it’ll then implode and the fascist Nazi shitheads will migrate.
They don’t want an echo chamber- they want to be able to shout their slurs and right-wing bullshit at you while you can’t respond. It’s exactly why places like Voat and that shitty T_D knockoff crashed. Once the ratio of right-wingers to non-right-wingers on Twitter hits a critical amount, they’ll start looking for other places to infest.
Same thing as Trump.
Doesn’t matter how perfect your contract is, as long as they can afford to fight the lawsuit longer than you you’re gonna lose.
You’d think people would learn to not contract with these assholes at all.
If you get killed by a robot, you can at least die knowing your death was the logical option and not a result of drunk driving, road rage, poor vehicle maintenance, panic, or any other of the dozens of ways humans are bad at decision-making.
The fact that Ubuntu is derived from Debian logically means it wasn’t the first Linux-based OS.
Tuvalu make around $10 million a year- about one-sixth of their gdp- from licensing .tv
.
Let’s just say, the telcos didn’t like being away from each other.
Let us also not forget the Ma Bell breakup and what happened thereafter.
Apparently “rare” or “limited-release” vehicles don’t get tested. Which means the Cybertruck will probably never get tested 😂
Cody Johnston did a vid about the Cybertruck on his most recent episode of Some More News. He starts talking about the crash test Tesla did (with video) around the 8:45 mark.
If Geico, and presumably soon others, are angering the chuds by refusing to insure this, independent crash tests definitely occurred and they were not favorable.
When I said no independent crash tests had been performed, I was specifically referring to the IIHS since they’re the only ones who opinion really matters and they’ve stated they have not tested any Cybertruck. But yes, regardless of whether Tesla’s internal crash tests were performed by their staff or some other testing lab, the fact that they’re sitting on the results clearly indicates that they know just how poorly the crumplezone-less sharp-edged quality-uncontrolled ketaminemobiles fare.
Of course they are sleeping soundly. They’d literally be marching into the camps convinced they did the right thing.
