Terrifying. Unfortunately it’s difficult to explain to laypeople why the CVE system is so important. Our nation’s leaders certainly won’t get it. Hopefully the experts are able to get through to them when it’s time to renew again. And maybe we can reduce our government dependence a bit by then.
The kicker that made me leave Reddit is my 11 year old account got abruptly locked and then suspended for “technical irregularities” (using a VPN). It’s disappointing how anti-privacy it’s become.
Let’s bring the content over here so people don’t have to use it at all.
The “stuff” is standard things like storing a cookie for authentication.
I’m surprised the wording here is such an issue despite all the transparency. Maybe I’ll take another pass at it, but I’d also happily accept a pull request to wordsmith it. :) That’s part of the beauty of open source right?
