I do wan’t premium, but if getting the premium will cost me 2x what people in other countries will pay it literally isn’t worth.
I don’t mind paying 600 euro for a handheld, but if it costs 300-400 usd in other countries I doubt about paying 2x the price for it.
Price isn’t an issue as in the price of the device, more in the sense of I don’t wanna pay double for less of a performance ( steamdeck is an overkill for what I need, I don’t plan on emulating any 3d consoles )
Phone’s and tablet’s here are very overpricced, to the point that it’s cheaper for me to get a generic handheld shipped 7 countries away than buying a phone locally/shipped.
Example: my current samsung galaxy a54 I bought last year costed me 525 euro here, while in the rest of the world it was around 300 usd on amazon for example ( I don’t order from amazon because amazon isn’t available in my country so shipping with it is very expensive ).
Steamdeck is an overkill for what I need rn.
Depends on the language, for example in croatia vegeta is the only one.

Proton came into existence in the later part of 2018, I jumped to linux about half a year before proton came out, so probably closer to 7 years now.
Jump the ship, I did 6 years ago, before even proton was a thing when games worked witha lot of thinkering.
Nowdays you habe so many great games working you won’t mind a couple of games not working because of all the other playable games.

Just connect it to a monitor and you have a regular pc, I have seen a lot of people use it as one with no issues.
They can always make a torrent of it and share it like that if they are in a country with barelly any dmca laws.
Somebody can always just get an offline copy of that data, that kever hits the internet so company’s won’t know where it is so it can’t be dmca’d.

I just prefer the vim bindings and motions, not an obsession. I use diff tools almost daily and can manage in them with no issues, but whenever I can use vim binding I will because they just feel better to me.
That’s why for tables and katex equations I used plugins to help me with then to not be rough.
As for other stuff than vim, minimize the nees for them if it really gets hard.
Mkdnflow is the one that I used to use and it does so many things amazingly for writting markdown easier

As for the reason I ain’t getting a phone/steam deck isn’t price, but that they are overkill for what I wan’t ( both steamdeck and phones are too big for what I wan’t ).
