I try again and again to switch, since 30 years ago I first tried Linux with Slackware. But as a .NET developer, Microsoft makes sure the toolchain for anything other than Windows is subpar and I keep coming back to Visual Studio. Yes I have tried Rider and Visual Studio Code.

Have children. You will have no spare time to code for several years after that 😆 Mine are 4 and 5 years old now and I never have time or energy to code outside work.
But I think that’s a good thing. I leave coding at work, mostly use my computer for gaming.

One of the strengths of the too-many-approvals approach was that it made sure developers were still looking closely at every little change.
More likely it made developers immune to the approval button, instead just clicking approve blindly.

I would say: Learn to use LLMs as a tool rather than a crutch.

has shown 100 percent efficacy in early trials
I am always suspicious of any vaccine showing 100% efficacy.

I’ve never seen it recommend a solution using regex. And I’ve had it provide a lot of useful code. Perhaps you need to look into prompt engineering training?

Try reading the question again, this time answer without hating all things LLM. OP asked if AI could be used for initial peer review, to which the answer is a big yes.

As a European, I am surprised at just how much Trump is allowed to do. In the sense that he’s not being stopped by a riot or something like that.

How a lot of software development ends up in real life too.

Sounds like what unions are for.

Which is a rounding error in any commercial business.

That is your opinion. I sometimes prefer a video over a long text. Everyone has their own preference.

Phoenix Project and Unicorn Project are about non technical skills. Very entertaining books as well.

Except book #2 I fully agree, these are great books to read for someone who wants to grow their non technical skills.

Having worked in this industry for going on 25 years, I long ago learned that there are way too many incompetent programmers in the world working critical jobs. It’s best not to think about it.

Did you even read the article? It literally states that this is cheap and abundant.
The article seems to hint st the fact that patients regain weight because they start eating unhealthy again once they stop taking the drug. I don’t think that’s a surprise to anyone. Calories in - calories out = weight change. The simple, yet not easy, solution is to change your habits while using the drug.
