It’s mid 80s here right now and 100° so I don’t wanna hear it lmao
Especially if you’re away from the cost, it’s all the worst parts of tropical temperatures without an ounce of the good.
The high right now is 99, the feels like is 109, and having just come inside, there’s just enough breeze right now to piss you off rather than cool you. We have an extreme heat warning from now until the fuckin 3rd, and a lot of us have zero legal protection from working outside in this God forsaken heat.
I’ve been hearing of some local construction crews threatening the bosses if they have to go outside in this heat, and I know many people in my industry are currently quitting because our northern us based corporate overlords decided this week to get a stick up their ass about uniforms, insisting upon heavy ass cargo pants, a thick cotton undershirt, an even thicker polo, and the most unnecessarily heavy duty safety vest. My crew of 10 lost 2 people this week because they refused to go out in this bullshit wearing all that. The rest of us also refused, but corporate made an example out of them.
That being said, Louisiana is still worse. And I’d argue most of Alabama.

Unrelated, but MoLang would be a fantastic name for the official modding engine that’s definitely coming to Minecraft any century now.
But yeah, to my knowledge, Neo Forge is just a fork of Forge minus a certain absolute dickhead of a maintainer. Last I used Forge back in like 1.17 ish, forge itself handled most of the rendering, though I never dove too deeply into it

I imagine it’d more be on (Neo)Forge and Fabric’a respective mod loaders. Hopefully mods won’t have to touch rendering systems too much

You may need to limit the number of cores you’re giving the game. According to Proton DB, it’s got a gold rating on Linux
https://www.protondb.com/app/799600
I’d try adding --cores 4 to your launch options and reducing it from there if you have issues still. Also seems like Proton 10.0-3 is the ideal version.
If you need assistance getting those setup:
In your steam library, right click on Cosmoteer in your games list and click on properties
Under Compatibility, make sure Force Use of Specific Compatibility Tool is checked. Select Proton 10.0-3 as your Proton version. If you haven’t used that version on a game before, it may need to download and that’ll take a bit, which is why I’m having you do this first.
Under the first section in properties (I’m typing this all from memory, apologies), there should be a section that says launch options. In that text box, type command% --cores 4
Launch the game. If it works, great! If not, try reducing the number after --cores in your launch options to 2. If it continues not working, try switching to Proton experimental. If it continues not working, I’m out of ideas unfortunately.

I’m just a web guy whose tired of installing 10 xetabytes of 2 line libraries every time I wanna check out anything web related

God, even the Arch malware uses npm as a vector. And thus, my hatred of npm deepens even further
OH THE WALLS ARE MIRRORED!
I must’ve stared at this for like 3 minutes trying to wrap my head around it
Give me 98 with the little lines of the next 3. I think it enhances noticeability quite a lot without adding a distracting amount of contrast

Out of curiosity, why 2-3 different ad blockers?
I think killing the guy who said you use Numbers would classify as justified. That’s too far of an insult
All in the span of like a week now too which is wild
Y’know, at least they invited everyone instead of just being a C-suite retreat. I guess

I’m gonna have to ask what that means. Cars are just something my autism just does not comprehend

Do EVs even have transmissions? I ask this legitimately, I know shit for dick about cars beyond how to change oil

Try Calamity after playing through vanilla imo. Calamity changes up a lot.
I’d also recommend Fargo’s. It’s quite fun as well, though it’s true final boss is some bullshit.

Look, I hate these data centers, but the vast, vast majority of them won’t be using residential lines. They’ll be running their own lines in order to not have their traffic be tied up by slow downs during peak hours. And with how expensive and difficult it is to run a model that’s worth the half a fuck the bullshit machines we have now are, an AI server running in every home is not only unlikely, but with how central these big companies want to keep everything, simply not happening. Hell, the vast majority of people who have been forced to use these chat bots in everyday work hate them. Plus, most people barely know how to install apps to their iPad let alone how to run a local server
Edit: also, you need specific computer equipment to run that fast. You can’t just plug in your computer to an Ethernet line and get the full 25 gigs

Honestly, fuck American ISPs, but what on earth would you need 25 gig fiber in your home for? We have a gig line that actually runs at a gig 99% of the time, and I can be downloading a steam game while 3 separate videos are being streamed and I won’t have stuttering. 25 gig sounds cool, but also utterly pointless
Maaaan guess I need to post more
