Yeah, disposable vapes should be made illegal, not only are they lowering the bar for the access because they’re cheap and accessible to minors, not only because they are an e-waste, but because it wastes valuable lithium, also those are perfectly chargeable batteries, is a bit fucked up that it’s more profitable to use rechargeable lithium batteries than something disposable
Yeah, it’s my minor pet peeve with Duolingo, like source language and my language doesn’t have/need suffixes like “the” or “a” so I often forget about it, it’s soo annoying to fail because of such minor thing, especially when their suggested English often looks terrible
Maybe it’s keeping constant 45w instead of tapering off the more charged it is
immich is a self hosted google photos alternative, it finds faces, groups them, lets you name people etc, object recognition works similarly, it lets you search by terms like “dog” etc. you can use the phone app to sync your photos with it (i sync mine using syncthing though), here’s a demo
I’ve installed immich on my DIY NAS, it has ml face/object recognition and it works nice
no comrade, lemmy vill not be enshittified, everysing for your own good
"It’s a prank bro"😅 but seriously as an IT guy I’m tired of pushing VPNs down our (collective) throats, not saying the threat isn’t real but it’s really overblown by the ads
You’re comparing apples to oranges here, but of course Ventoy is a more versatile tool, after one time preparation you’re just copying ISOs like files, you can use multiple ISOs at once etc, also do you really need a clunky electron app to burn images on Linux
If you know Linux CLI, is there a reason to use GUI? Same principle CLI gives you more granular control and GUI simplifies a lot of things, gives you more of insight etc
the regular jellyfin app is just a web wrapper, at least it behaves like and looks like it, as for advantages, it’s the little things, like offline playback, double tap to skip like in youtube etc.
And don’t forget to press kudos button if it fixes your problem
you’d have to move your eyes from letter to letter, like Vision Pro users
just don’t input passwords while on call/streaming? anyway, looks like it’s easy to fix, just disable avatar eye movement mapping when inputing a password, also I doubt if it’s real vector of attack, more of a proof of concept maybe?
yum, immich all the way, the ai face/object recognition is awesome
Ventoy
Yeah, most software has probably already migrated to OpenSearch
Cool, most of the time THEY want ME to watch something on the platform, it’s not like I come to Facebook to watch stupid shit
