To a point, yeah, but he was far more influential and sick than what used to be the average. Shapiro looks down right reasonable when compared to kirk, and kirk’s outlet has managed to worm its way into schools. Like, officially.

We never finished the job. The civil war? We didn’t finish the reconstruction, we let those bigots keep their power. The Nazis? We hired those monsters.
Genuinely, what’s up with his insane obsession over windmills?
They are, for some reason people just like to call them something else.
There are less puritans than gooners, if a corpo is backing the puritans is because that corpo is ran by one of those demons.
Considering valve is, basically, the gateway to a billion dollar industry, they certainly have the weight to throw around and get this done, or at least to prop up a less demonic processor. It’ll take time whatever they do, but i really hope they are doing something.
they could and should fight this, Amazon did and they came out on top, but that doesn’t mean it isn’t the payment processors fault.
I’m glad to find good reasons for misanthropy even in the small things.
I swear Nintendo is the reason for the stereotypes about Japanese businessmen. Delusionally prideful, psychotically controlling, aggressively narcissistic, and entirely ass backwards.
gaben has out right explained why trying to stop it is stupid, and he was objectively correct too.
They could just… Not have tracking chips in our property? Piracy isn’t a big deal, even with stupid shit like this driving more people towards it.
It could probably be worth it to keep an active eye on your data even if it remains roughly the same. To keep an established base line, to keep an eye out for changes in environment in specific areas, to monitor the effects of aging, to sell you shit when your eye gets damaged. Probably other evil shit too, or just the paranoid urge to surveil people for no damn reason.
Selling data on people is a lucrative business. Although it is a business and not UBI.
It’s insane to me the reaction people have to making our species better. Sure it might not be feasibly in reach yet and i wouldn’t trust our systems to handle this as they are, but humans are fundamentally broken. Evolution is a terrible system that does not produce the best outcomes, we can (eventually) do better and we absolutely should.
Unfortunately for them that ship has sailed. It’s not hard to get in on a scam like this of you do it early enough, i probably would have done it if i had enough money when this started (don’t judge, much, money is important when you don’t have it) and i probably would have gotten out like a bandit. Now though, it’s mostly targeting them.
Did we make fun of bitcoin? It was a cool currency for buying drugs on the black market at first.
No, it’s worse than that. It’s impossible to meet the standards set in this and other bills of it’s type without having a shortlist of curated, controlled people creating online content. That’s literally the point, keeping people from interesting with information they deem unsavory.
That said, it is impossible to enforce unless they want to set up the great firewall of america.
I cussed my old manager out for that shit!
Oh my god that might actually make it worth it
