I was born on my birthday.
It’s amazing how much Connect has improved. I found it virtually unusable at the beginning. Now I can’t imagine using Lemmy without it*. No ads, no selling of data, and a highly customisable app that does what it says it does.
*I have not been paid to say this. Just a happy user.

OK so it seems Diaspora* had great potential but sort of dribbled off into a void. Does anyone know of any similar platforms that are good? I’m trying to to find a few decent “social media” things that are better than Facebook, X, etc and it’s incredibly hard to find anything worth signing up to.

In the past 24 hours, I’ve had random images not loading, random threads not scrolling, random posts getting hidden. Would this be related to the latest update?
Might be the app, then. So frustrating. It’s been such a good app up until now.
