Took me a moment. Good one.

A bit more spaceflight than astronomy, but I enjoy Main Engine Cut Off by Anthony Colangelo. Roughly half an hour of spaceflight news/updates, a couple times a month.
Paraphrased from u/Jodo42 in The Other Place:
Step 1: Eric Berger reports something will happen in spaceflight before other organizations. (You are here)
Step 2: “Berger is a liar and a d*ckrider, this is nonsense”
Step 3: Government organization confirms they are “considering their options”; meltdown begins.
Step 4: Government organization makes the only sensible decision. It’s all Elon’s fault.
We will just have to wait and see what happens. The next four years will be… interesting, to say the least.
Boil 'em, mash 'em, eat 'em in your bed
How did his esophagus receive the worst damage? It’s not like he ate the lava.
Saruman the stupid
“Each stanza kinda rhymes with the last one… [grimaces] …hopefully it’ll work.”
Aren’t those strawberries?
I found a couple:
I think several of them might be based on additional artwork Watterson did for The Complete Calvin and Hobbes box set.
if you can one day just decide to go for a hike to the other side of the world
They didn’t do it in one shot though. They went to Fatty Bolger’s place first, then to Tom Bombadil’s, Bree, and Rivendell. I imagine that they gradually improved their strength and stamina with each leg of the journey. Frodo’s initial task was just to get The Ring to Rivendell, after all.
Tired literally just looking at a picture
Tired?
Yes it is. One knife, two knives. (Red knife, blue knife :)

I assume it’s a crazy high metabolism. Smaller creatures generally need to eat proportionally more than their larger counterparts. Taken to an extreme, some small birds need to consume their own body weight in food every day.
Frodo: WTF did you do that for‽
*Gandalf, relieved that it is not The One Ring, refuses to elaborate, and leaves.*
His Dad’s expression is definitely a mood in the third panel:
“Again, it’s like poetry, sort of, they rhyme… each stanza kinda rhymes with the last one… [grimaces] …hopefully it’ll work.”
