For Editing you can use libre office draw or stirling pdf in a docker container. For Formulars and other stuff sounds can use okular.

It’s maybe possible but pain. I tried once and it lasts hours and hours. It’s easier to install new and migrate your configs.
It’s great. And I hope it will last as it is as long as possible.
