Yea but this is grade A in the same way that school lunch ketchup is grade A.
I’d donate a few dollars a month. Newgrounds is a great content creation space. I still play games there from time to time. The Mario 63 game is off the wall. Dead Estate is also a fantastic retro style shooter like the ones I remember from my childhood. I think places like this need to survive.
Also need to factor in waste management as well. With sufficient bacteria and time, the effluents can be converted to compost. It will take a ton of algae bioreactors to prevent the CO2 generated from becoming toxic. Packaging can be buried, but I think it would be better if it was compostable as well.
We also need to consider fire suppression. A fire in a low gravity and/or high oxygen environment is going to be dangerous quickly and could harm critical systems. The fire suppression material itself could also imbalance the environment and , at minimum, could be a big hassle to clean up.
In regards to food growth, aeroponics can be fine tuned and automated, but this works best for leafy vegetables. Keep in mind that Mars doesn’t have the inert Nitrogen atmosphere that Earth does, so nitrogen fixing doesn’t work to our benefit, which means we’ll need to acquire sources of bio available nitrogen.
Phosphorous may also be a problem, since our best stores of that currently come from bird and bat guano.
How do they currently do it on space stations?

A lot of us migrated months ago when the writing was on the wall.
Kbin became my home when I decided to move to a smaller foreign county, and I’m glad it was, because the land of Mastodon was a bit too distant for me. When the Kbin house was burning down, fortunately the next door neighbor, Fedia, was there to take me in and make things feel familiar.
I suppose that’s the whole advantage of the Fediverse. One head of the hydra may get chopped down, but many others can spring out from it.
Don’t forget to support your admins y’all.
So then they’ll move here, not such a bad deal.
But then, who makes sure that ActivityPub doesn’t sell out?
Read a book.
That’s cool and all, but if we’re directly correlating this, then I think it would be more like you drawing out the provinces in China or India.
China I could maybe get Manchuria, Inner Mongolia, Tibet kinda right, I’d try to get Guangdong, Szechuan and Xi’an, the rest I’m screwed (Heibei maybe? Guangzhou? Idfk). Perhaps I’d be better to stick to the 3 kingdoms.
India I’m much more screwed. Kashmir, North India, South India, Delhi, something called Gujurat maybe, Bengal, Pashtun?, Bombay, Goa? Throw the Ganges somewhere in there in the North and East…a desert in the west, North and South Mountains that are not called mountains? Now that I’m thinking about it, I’d probably draw it out as Kashmir, that big strip that hugs the Ganges and Himalayas where Delhi is, and Texas.
Yuge! > here, you forgot this.
How many times must I say, the presidency is not a dictatorship. The president enforces the law while the legislature makes the laws.
Without both, the president is limited in what change can be effected. It’s why Obama couldn’t do a climate bill in his second term, it’s (thankfully) why trump couldn’t fund his border wall, it’s why Biden could get a lot done first half of his term, but at the mercy of some more conservative democrats and it’s why little has been done in the last two years.
If you want to see real (not superficial) change, then we need to win back the house and senate, even better if the majority is high enough to prevent filibusters.
I understand that this is hard to comprehend, particularly if you don’t obsess over American politics, but if you only take one thing away from this, it’s that we live in a republic and if you don’t have the votes, then you don’t have the votes!
True that, I just took a look at the FAQ and it still references kbin.
Question, how do we donate to this project?
I take this as a positive. The Ohio Supreme Court just protected trans rights, when it applies to nuggets.
The only ones that I buy into are the ones about that giant AT&T building in NYC with no windows that pretty much all communications route through, and the NSA building south of SLC that is storing exabytes of data. Oh and 5 eyes.
Everything we say and do that is somehow connected to a series of tubes is getting tracked y’all. I don’t know why they need to know my family’s breakfast plans or why I asked Alexa the other day for a precise step by step guide on how to manufacture a nuclear fusion bomb after watching Oppenheimer, but they are listening, they are reporting and they are tracking everything.
And honestly, I know some of the types that dig this level of surveillance, and it’s pretty unsettling that they are.
The ROC, Tibet, India and Mongolia at a minimum would like to have a word.
