Yes, Bilbo describing how it feels to have ones life elongated by the ring without knowing that the ring is doing it

Did y’all forget that Frodo went to the Undying Lands? He only visits for work.

Edit: it seems I’ve forgotten… he’d still age in the Undying Lands.

This confirms he is a Dark Lord then, and must have purposefully sought to infiltrate Valinor. I don’t dare to guess his intentions…

Doesn’t he go to Valinor to die though? He doesn’t live forever just because he was a ringbearer, he went for some healing and respite before moving on to the Doom of Hobbits. I always thought the Quest and the Wound caused him to ‘die’ young, he never healed, he left for Valinor, had a nice peaceful nap in Elvenlands, and died happy.

Yeh this feels a bit of a stretch for someone aging from early 20s to early 40s. A, some people have good genes. B, we tend to notice men’s aging with less weight(ymmv culturally). And, C he’s a millionaire movie star with access to the healthcare that comes with.

Never forget that Hollywood stars have access to the most expensive & exclusive skin care, trainers, health care, & even plastic surgery, the likes of which we grimy little Proudfeet will never even hear of. Check Cate B out too, she hasn’t aged an hour

I’m very very slightly younger than him and aged the same way. My beard grew in better as I got older and I got a better haircut, but other than a few grey hairs in the beard, a couple of extra pounds, and a slightly changed hairline I’m really similar to the kid in the picture from my boot camp graduation. I expect that to change pretty hard in the next couple of years when all my drinking and hedonism finally catches up to me.

Yut. Feel like drinking is damaging enough, but then getting up (or just remaining up) to PT the next day is also probably not very good for you. But it was what had to be done.

Well, I say it’s just good genes and nutrition.

However if he still looks like that 100 years from now, then we may need to have a conversation…
