How can I bring this forward so the junction box is accessible?
Do I just get enough single gang extension rings to bring it out far enough to sit flush with the drywall?
Or do I add an access panel on the drywall?

So the outlets on the top right were wired correctly. I ended up removing the junction and wires from the bottom where the original picture I posted was. I ran armorlite cable from the outlets on the top right to the outlet on the left. That solved a good portion of my troubled.
But the switches in the middle for my ceiling lights were still an issue. They went down to the junction I posted in my other reply. I am pulling that junction and running it directly to the switch boxes. Im also replacing all the wires inside and adding a ground wire. When I tried to pull them through, I couldn’t. I was worried about another concealed junction box so I opened the bulkhead and found this…
I would have preferred a concealed junction.
The joys of remodeling. Made worse by weird Chicago codes that are different just so labor can rob the people.
