    Gentrification. This isn’t new. It’s been going on for at least 20-25 years. I lived through 15 years of real estate developers, trying to gentrify bed, sty and absolutely failing at it. It was an amazing victory.

    The real issue with gentrification shouldn’t be about how to keep white people with money out of poor black neighborhoods, but instead how to fix the institutional racism such that the black people have money too and can afford to stay in the neighborhood as prices rise.
