it is the screen material I want to mount into
Expanded wire lath is what I’m used to seeing it called. No access to the back makes it much trickier for sure…
Which direction is the expected force? Diamond-shaped pieces with a lip along the top at the back and the front at the bottom so they can be angled it you sit in place bit will work for a downward pull. Similar to how some hooks engage with pegboard or slatwall.
You don’t even need the full diamond shape, just the bottom half with a deep enough slotted channel to insert and pull down over the metal to secure it into place. Something like this cleat hanger but with the slot instead of a diagonal wedge.
I won’t be able to access from the back
I was hoping I could have a center part I could thread a bolt into and expand the back like a drywall anchor and have one brass insert on each side of the center.
maybe 5 pounds. I was thinking something similar to a drywall anchor or toggle bolt with threaded inserts adjacent to the expansion bolt I could use for my mounting
Or you could just use toggle bolts and not have to 3d print anything.
I’m looking to make something that kind of shows off 3D printing
You can make a piece that fits one way but not the other, like a diamond that barely fits in, that you rotate 90 degrees and screw into. How much weight do you need to hold up?
