I’ve recently seen an interesting opinion (in having an unusual source) on these discussions.
That without being certain it’s all real people and not bots they are useless.
Except anonymity I would still like, but honestly - at least make everyone real people.
Many solutions for that, but honestly those I like are kinda conservative. Replace the web with “automated sneakernet social media” (over Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, literal sneakernet), like Briar, but global (in Briar you have to add people to synchronize anything) with some piggybacking of data you yourself don’t need to other people. Maybe some mesh routing, but on tit-for-tat basis or something like that. To somehow balance the resources occupied to relay, because otherwise it’d be overloaded easily.
