      Dragon sized cats would sleep among mountain ranges and splash all the water out of lakes and complain when there’s none left to drink…I’d love them

    Christopher Paolini, the author of Eragon, mentioned that he based the personality of the dragon in his book off of his cat. Makes sense.

      I guess he had to steal it from somewhere. Nothing else in that series was original.

        Even Tolkien wasn’t original. His mythos is the polyamorous lovechild of Suomi, Germanic, Celtic, and Christian mythology.

        And everyone bases characters on people they know.

          Yep that’s how inspiration works, honestly it’s not really worth giving credit to the “inspiration is stealing” arguments as all of them are bad faith.

    We always call our cat a dragon because she collects toys and paper bags into piles and lays on top of them like a dragon on her hoard. She’s also very possessive and quick to anger
