This. My brother is an unhinged psycho when watching his sports teams do poorly. The only person who can stand to be in the same room with him while he watches football is his son who is just used to it.
That shit always gets me. I feel like i will never care about anything as much as football fans. I know people who are genuinely mad for a while when their team(s) lose.
I can’t be around them when football is on.
They have so many embarrassing as fuck graffiti all over town.
I was once in another city on a date. We went to a random bar and someone heard that i talk different in that whole place. When i went to the toilet there were some dudes waiting for me to beat me up because apparently our cities are rivals. I have bever seen a football game in my life and they kept telling me what a piece of shit i am for being 50km away from their city.
I always assume that people who are that emotionally invested in football are simply boring people, with incredibly lame or shitty lives where they have nothing else to be passionate about. Or they use it as a way to vent their compressed rage about their boring life in a “socially acceptable” way.
