The 2005 drawing looked erily similar to the one you’re seeing here, and the joke was “You say you couldn’t draw THIS but here you are on video in 2005 doing exactly the same thing.”
Then he tried claiming thats not his signature. So they pulled his signature from publically available documents that he signed in his first term. Same signature.

Colbert showed some of Trump’s other drawings he made in the past and added his signature to one drawing of the NYC skyline to depict a penis. It was just a joke for the bit.
