    I think splittring populations into left and right is a meaningless distinction and designed to make people pick one of those sides. In reality both sides have much more in common with eachother than the politicians on each side.

    You and me right here have a lot in common right away just writing in the same thread on lemmy. Politicians stand on stage and make grand statements for votes. At least I have nothing in common with those people.

      There are only like, half a dozen politicians on the left, tops. Maybe you’re confusing Democrats for the left? They are very much not.

      Its a self-selected distinction , not an imposed one.

      People describe their own political beliefs, they don’t have a label thrust on them that they must use.

      You also didn’t answer either of my questions.

      So you clearly have more in common with politicians than you think.
