Not much harder than any car of that size really, but drag cars like that generally have very few if any original parts to them other than the body so it’d probably be easier to start with that and just put the hearse body on it. If you’re thinking of having something more street legal then I’d get an old Cadillac with a big engine like the 350 and it’ll be easy to find a larger engine to shove in there.
Ok, that is an epic hearse. I wonder how hard it would be to buy a hearse and slap a monster of an engine in it.

Most of them are made from pretty big cars. This one is supposed to be a fiberglass shell funny car
