    One cannot rely on any large tech organization to empower the oppressed. Yet we must use them in some form.

    We can only help empower the acceleration of new tech that allows people to organize and talk without filters. This must include ways to facilitate local geographic communication.

    There are many failures ahead, and much frustration. But I think it can be done

      some tech: mesh networks enable local area communication. Modern ones are encrypted and can route information over the horizon with multiple hops.

      falling back to the old technologies that the large tech organizations haven’t yet captured seems to be the only path forward; but it’s already a non-starter for a society that has grown dependent on captured platforms.

        Technology is accelerating, and hundreds of thousands of new engineers and programmers are starting each year.

        New platforms appear, are used by hundreds of thousands, employ hundreds, spawn new tech, that spawns a second generation of new things. All unknown by most.

        Things seem unchanging until they are not
