    The average home price in Toronto or Vancouver are about equal with the average home price in LA. Montreal rivals New York. Prices absolutely need to come down.

      They do, but I have such little faith in any layer of governance in this country to do that in a meaningful way. The line must go up!

      There will be a small correction (underway now in Vancouver for example) but then the march upwards will resume. Real estate in Canada has gotten Too Big To Fail™ after decades of legislative abdication.

      Yeah well those are quite large cities on a worldwide scale. Compared to the Netherlands we have a housing program for folks under a certain income and even those lists are long as fuck whilst buying a home is next to impossible if you’re not a two-income home with college degrees.

      I figure Canada has a lot more room than the Netherlands has yet farmers all over our country are considering moving to Canada; matter of fact there are entire companies here that do just that for Dutch farmers
