A mental illness is not inherently associated with having a condition.
Transgenderism is not a condition.
Gender dysphoria is a condition, that doesn’t inherently make it a mental illness.
People with gender dysphoria may experience it as a mental illness, but that doesnt make “transgenderism” a mental illness.
All this is besides the point because having a mental illness doesn’t mean anything. I’ve had mentally illnesses come and go with depression and anxiety.
What most people refer to as mental illness is some kind of delusional thinking.
Here’s the question I have for those people: if your mother got dementia, how would you treat her?
Would you tell her that she’s delusional, and she needs to pretending its the 70’s, and tell her she doesn’t deserve the same rights as others?
Or would you be compassionate to her, regardless of what your perspective is, because it costs you nothing.
