WASHINGTON — Amtrak ridership grew 5% in the fiscal year ending Sept. 30, 2025, and revenue surged 11%, as robust Northeast Regional gains offset fewer Acela frequencies on the Northeast Corridor. The railroad carried nearly 34.5 million passengers, while ticket revenue was $2.764 billion.
The results from the company’s monthly performance reports for 2025 are now posted on the Amtrak website.
They really need to add trains between Los Angeles and Las Vegas. Both cities have an Amtrak station, but somehow, not an available option. It would be massive money for them.
Does Las Vegas still have an Amtrak station that can be served by trains? When I search for it I just get a bus stop,

You’d think so. Everyone is just waiting and hoping that Brightline will build private HSR to fix these kinds of city pairs.
well they’re attempting that with Brightline West, but I haven’t heard anything positive from them in a while. I agree though, the tracks are there, even if it’s not super duper fast I know that corridor, I can’t imagine every person driving that is super thrilled to be driving. I’m sure a good chunk of them would be willing to add an hour or two on to not have to drive, and let’s be real you don’t need a car in vegas.
