There is a monastery in my city, right in the centre. The youngest nun is over 80 something. I was thinking, if the women from our group of friends would join them, soon those nuns would die and we would have this massive building in the city centre all for ourselves to live, party, build community workshops etc. We would basically steal the infrastructure from the church. Also we would destroy the bells and sell the copper, so the entire surroundings would never have to endure this horrible sound anymore.
But whenever I present the women in my group with my idea they just launch. Kinda understandable, I wouldn’t want to pretend and live as a nun for a few years, or even a day myself.
The convent likely belongs to an outside group that exerts control over it. There were crackdowns in the middle ages on convents because some tried to turn into lesbian communes with Jesus.

Literally yesterday I was thinking about joining a church with friends for a takeover like that!
Seems to be working for the right wing. Replace ‘church’ with ‘government office’ and ‘nun’ with ‘elected officials’.
Well, they use the church and their religion as an argument for all the things they want and do.
Even though everything they want and do would send them immediately to the lowest levels of hell, if their fairytale actually existed.
