it’s the only thing that explains why it was so heavily promoted on so many subreddits instead of lemmy.ml when it had nothing to offer at the beginning of the reddit protests and why there was a coordinated effort to defederat the leftist core instances throughout the lemmyverse.
now piefed is getting that same treatment from reddit and they literally used the same pics as before, but edited out .world in favor of piefed
There was a concerted effort by some to recruit of reddit to the fediverse. They have an “anti-tankie” bias and so directed users to instances accordingly. They’re currently recruiting off reddit to piefed as well.
