Seventy-one percent of people in the U.S., according to a Reuters poll on A.I., are concerned “too many people will lose jobs.” Wall Street and Big Tech are running a huge hype machine to back up their massive, risky investment in A.I., pledging it will drive a “productivity surge,” meaning fewer workers and more profits. But workers can take heart that, so far, it’s mostly hot air. To date, A.I. is making few profits.

    You’re fetishizing Non-Westeners because the strategy you want to use work there and not here, and instead of changing strategy, you project yourself into a different context. The article is clearly about the Global North, for which what you described has failed over and over. You make politics with the people you have, not with the people you would like to have. Blaming workers for not being receptive to your strategies is delusional.

          If you think fascists are only now just taking over the west - the west that is involved in brutal mass murder, torture, imprisonment and mass rape all over the global south and within its own borders and ongoing for centuries - then it is because you have been privileged enough not to to feel its barbarism till now.

          It is your fantasy that is being popped. What you want is to go back to how it was were you weren’t as affected as much. You’re giving the impression of larping solidarity because you’ve presumably felt a fraction of that pain.
