Does anyone know what is up with this trend? I notice so many people starting with “I’m not political” and then get super political. I notice this paired with rogansphere references too.

“I’m not political” is an expression of privilege. It disingenuously pretends to be ideologically neutral, but it’s not.

Even the average MAGAtt knows that their views are not socially acceptable. So they’ll pose as “centrist” or “not political” to avoid the pushback.

Apolitical people are chuds that want to get laid. Moderates are chuds who are mad that chuds are saying the quiet part out loud.

Narcissists tend to be incapable of understanding or accepting or acknowledging others have a view.

Folks who are “not political” just think “I’m normal” and being incapable of recognizing your beliefs are their own bias unto themself is pretty narcissistic as a behavior.

I’m not saying they are narcissists, but the behavior is awfully similar in this one regard.

Unless someone is truly just not involved in politics in any way and says they aren’t political insomuch as they aren’t involved. But the “I’m not political my ideas are just normal” is what I’m referring to.
