Dude most Americans didn’t believe that the Holocaust was happening until the first camps were being liberated by GI’s. Reports were made to FDR about what was going on, a few snippets came out here and there but it was not widely publicized and not believed by those who heard it usually. The scale of death and human atrocity seemed unreal mixed with the world war 1 anti German propaganda which proved mostly wrong that when the truth was widely made clear they made sure to film it and document it so that nobody could deny it. Just because you don’t like the administration and they are looking for any reason to distract from the Epstein files doesn’t mean that the Iranian government isn’t doing what totalitarian, or small coalition governments, do everywhere, which is to supress their restive population at escalating degrees until either the protests stop or a civil war starts.
Yeah sure, but the difference is that this absolutely could be easily documented. Most iranians have phones, most could record evidence and save it for when they do have outside communication. Most news agencies would jump on this evidence and even pay money for it because it would support their narrative. We have significantly more means and a significantly greater motive (in the eyes of the american state atleast). We are not in the 1940s anymore. Not to mention that the US and Israel had access to Iranian street surveillance footage for years and would have produced video evidence for their claims if they could. You should read the brookings institute plan for US policy towards Iran.
I never denied that the Iranian government was repressive to be clear.
