This is why I think large open source projects like this should add a small amount of “pay to play” to code contributions.
Just something small like the equivalent of $2USD per contribution for your first 5 contributions to gatekeep the genAI “people” out. Did they vibe code something? Would they really be okay spending the money just to be insta-banned from contributing in the future?
Not the best solution by a long shot, but how else would you stop the slop besides making it economically unfavorable for genAI “people” to contribute?
