Solidarity always means fighting beside other labor, especially when that labor comes from women or BIPoC and/or LGBT persons. But, there’s quite a few in the labor-class that prefer their male, white, or “traditional” identities to their labor identity.
My current thinking is that for many people, their in-group is whiteness. Conservative policies speak to that. They’re willing to suffer and die for this ideology. Yes, I did just read “Dying of Whiteness”
This is true. Solidarity always means fighting beside other labor, especially when that labor comes from women or BIPoC and/or LGBT persons.
