Meta is attempting to reduce labor costs as it prepares to spend over $100 billion in 2026 on AI data centers and related hardware. Facebook still being casually fucked up I see. Not like they’re anywhere near the only one, but it always strikes me the things I read about them, how nakedly awful they tend to be, like they aren’t even trying to look ethical.
It is truly tragic how much time and lives have been lost to exploitation. AES states give us a taste of all the good that can come from large scale advanced tech applied to fixing real problems and improving lives.
